Event: The Government of Ecuador and indigenous groups signed an agreement on June 30 bringing an end to 18 days of nationwide demonstrations and roadblocks and lifting the State of Emergency for four provinces. Both sides agreed to a 90-day dialogue mediated by Ecuador’s Episcopal Conference to ensure agreement implementation and to negotiate unresolved issues. During this period, we encourage you to continue to remain vigilant, monitor the situation for updates, and exercise caution if traveling by road.
