On February 17, Ambassador Todd Chapman presented copies of his credentials to Ricardo Patiño at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility of Ecuador in a ceremony that took place in the afternoon.
Ambassador Chapman was delighted to have the opportunity to meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs. He thanked Patiño for the Ecuadorian authorities’ warm reception and stated “the United States and Ecuador have a historic relationship and are linked in so many important ways.”
Ambassador Chapman added “I’m honored to lead our Mission’s efforts to advance our bilateral partnership, and I look forward to working with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and with the rest of the Ecuadorian Government as we seek to make progress on our many issues of common interest.”
