Emergency Assistance

The United States has provided millions in humanitarian assistance to help Ecuador in recovery efforts from the April 16 earthquake.

This includes support for a USAID airlift of relief supplies, as well as for humanitarian programs that are providing safe drinking water, improved sanitation, hygiene kits, and other supplies to communities affected by the earthquake. The U.S. has also provided technical assistance to help assess damage, identify priority humanitarian needs, and support Ecuadorian efforts to expand logistics capabilities in hard-hit areas.

The United States expresses our continuing solidarity with the Ecuadorian people as they recover from this tragic event.
