The U.S. Mission in Quito, Ecuador is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Registered Nurse WAE in the Health Unit Section.

SALARY:                              Full Performance level FP-05  US$53,844

(based on full-time, full performance salary; to be prorated for actual hours worked)

*Final grade/step for NORs will be determined by Washington.

Position is One year appointment.

SECURITY CLEARANCE

Position is open now. The successful applicant should be available to enter on duty within 30 days of being notified that s/he has been selected and cleared for employment.

BASIC DUTIES OF POSITION:               

The incumbent serves as the post’s nurse with responsibilities that include the medical care of Mission employees and eligible family members under MED approved clinical guidelines, as well as maintenance and inventory of all medical equipment and supplies, implementation of a robust vaccination program, administration of group and individual health education programs, and medical emergency contingency planning for the Mission.  The incumbent will work in the Medical Unit under the direct supervision of the Medical Provider (MP).
