Event: The Ecuadorian government introduced the first phase of its registration and regularization program for Venezuelan citizens on September 1. This first phase allows Venezuelan citizens without migratory status who entered Ecuador at an official immigration control point to regularize their status and obtain a visa to remain in Ecuador for two years. The program was expanded to all non-Venezuelan foreign nationals (including U.S. citizens) with formal entry in Ecuador on November 16 and will remain open until August 2023. To apply, you must have a valid passport, birth certificate, and evidence of entry to Ecuador at an official immigration control point.

· Review the Government of Ecuador’s Migration and “Estoy Aquí” websites for information on applying for the regularization process. · Contact the closest Government of Ecuador Migration Office for additional guidance.
