Ecuador ratified the International Recovery of Child Support and Other Forms of Family Maintenance Convention on July 1, 2022.  This treaty is designed to assist with the request or enforcement of child support in participant countries.

If you are in Ecuador and you would like information on how to collect child support from a person that resides in the United States, you should contact the Ecuadorian Central Authority for international child support recovery:  The Ministry of Women and Human Rights’ Department of Protection, Comprehensive Compensation Protection and Central Authority.

If you are in the United States and would like information on how to collect child support from a person that resides in Ecuador, you should contact:   The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE).
